After a few days lapping the swimming pool, riding bikes, or playing games, many children are ready for an opportunity to continue expanding their knowledge with fun, hands-on activities.

To meet these summer learning needs, Cabell County Schools is offering a variety of Summer programs for students. These programs cover topics including physical fitness, inventions, cultural awareness, and improving math and reading skills. A complete listing of these offerings can be found in the attached brochure.

For those who would like a second chance at success, the district is also offering a Recovery Program. This program allows students in the 6th through 12th grades to recover credit for promotion or for graduation. The Recovery Program will take place at two locations, Huntington East Middle School and Milton Middle School.

Most school-based programs give preference to students currently enrolled at the school. However, students actively enrolled at other Cabell County public schools may attend any of the programs as space is available. For more information, please contact the school.

All the district-offered programs will be served by the Cabell County Schools Summer Food Service Program, which provides free meals to any child 18 and under. For the location of all available food service sites, please visit the Cabell County Schools website, www.cabellschools.com.
